Something Pointless follows the unexpected bond between a lonely, bullied boy and an elderly man. What begins as a quiet daily ritual becomes an act of defiance against loneliness and insignificance—a moving reminder that even the smallest gestures can carry meaning.

Filmed on location in Newport, Wales, the 14-minute short was directed by Asa Bailey and written by Neil Graham and David Cormican. Its journey began fifteen years earlier, when Graham’s screenplay won first place in the Canadian Short Screenplay Competition.
